[Support request] How to show tagline only on browser tabs

Is there any way to show the site’s tagline on browser tabs without showing it near the logo? I also don’t mind showing it in the footer if that’s an option.

Hi there,

the browser uses the <title> tag of the wesbite. Which on your home page, by default, will be made of the Site Title - Tagline from the Customizer. They don’t have to be displayed.

If thats not happening on the home page then it would mean some other function, maybe an SEO plugin is changing that.

Is it supposed to show it on browser tabs even if I checked the “hide the tagline” option? I want it shown on the browser tab on my homepage, but I don’t want to show it in the header near the logo if that makes sense.

By default – yes on the home page the tagline should display in the browser tab even if its hidden on the web page
