How to show cart even if empty

I have installed a one page checkout plugin and want to show the payment fields at the bottom of the page below an add to cart button.
I am trying to replicate a one page sales-page with everything on the same page. I want to display the checkout if empty.
Is there a shortcake to do this or do I need to code it. If so, can you please recommend what I need to do or add...maybe a hook?
