I recently installed Boost from the Site library and I noticed that the homepage doesn't have a separate page itself. How do I make the front page the static homepage by selecting it from wordpress > settings > reading section?

Also, how do I make the post section display categories instead of the blog posts?

Hi there,

Not quite sure if I fully understand.

How do I make the front page the static homepage by selecting it from wordpress > settings > reading section?

That's exactly what you need to do. Create a desired front page and select it under readings section as you mentioned.

Also, how do I make the post section display categories instead of the blog posts?

What do you mean by display categories?

I know that is the way to set the homepage but what I mean is that.

In my page section, there is no page for the homepage, I'll have to create a new one. When importing the BOOST demo content, I was expecting a "homepage" page to already exist in my pages.

But if I were to create a new page and set it as the homepage, it would overwrite the current homepage, which is the current BOOST homepage.

Basically, how do I create a page that is the same as my current BOOST homepage so that I can set it as my homepage from the settings? Because as of now, if I were to creata new page and set that as my homepage, the current design will be gone.

Regarding the category, if I'm not wrong, these are posts blocks How do I make into categories? So that when users visit my page they will see categories block instead of posts.

So basically you want those blocks for the home page but not as posts?

If so you'd basically have to start from scratch unfortunately.

You can consider using Gutenberg columns to recreate that.

Same thing for the categories request, you'd basically have to create them from scratch as that's not something built-in like the posts blocks.

Ah I see, thanks for the help, I'll just use another demo theme instead.

No problem :)

How to Set my homepage display only 9 Sticky Post in the same boost theme?

Any chance you can open a new topic for your question?
