How to Set Sub-navigation Anchor Links for Page Jumps
3 replies · Started by Dana on April 28, 2022
I'm using GP Premium and GenerateBlocks on Local by Flywheel. I have created navigation using the block editor and have added a sub-navigation intended to take users to different content on the same page.

I have also created navigation in the WordPress Dashboard

Using this source: https://wordpress.org/support/article/page-jumps/
I have created link settings like this:

and this:

I know I'm doing some things wrong, but I don't know what because I keep getting this page when I click on one of the sub-navigation selections:

Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi Dana,
Once you’ve added the HTML anchor as such(I’m using testanchor as an example): https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8uLgY0J
you may go to Appearance > Menus and select the Menu you’re using for this, and add a custom link with the URL set to the HTML anchor (ex: #testanchor): https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQuNX16r
Here it is for instance working on my end: https://share.getcloudapp.com/xQuq5Ayd

Hope this clarifies. :)
Fernando, I was not entering the URL in the correct format, so thanks for your example. I just thought of my "sub-menus" as the "buttons" and followed the smooth scroll video and it worked! Thanks so much for the resources!
You’re welcome Dana! Glad to be of assistance! Feel free to reach out anytime you’ll need assistance with anything else. :)
