Note that I don’t want to remove the excerpt entirely rather just delete the last three dots from post excerpt.

Okay, I have went through the resources you provided. However, I don’t want to customize excerpts. Excerpts should be generated automatically from the article (GP already does that).
I just want to remove those three dots from the excerpt.
