How to remove Recent Comments section

Hello,
how do i remove the "recent comments" section on the right of this page?
Also -- how do I change the content that is listed to the right "Recent Posts"
I would like to create tags and categories for people to filter the posts. I am unable to have all the posts infinitely scroll the page, so having filter by month or year would be ideal.

go to Customizer > Widgets > Right Sidebar here you can add and remove ( Recent Comments ) Widgets.

I would say go to Appearance > Widgets and edit
Widgets seems to have two views depending where / how you access it.
What I do like about Generatepress is that Google has indexed the questions and the answers to those questions. Invaluable.
Thats correct, and 12 months on i am more inclined to go to Appearance > Widgets, especially if the block editor is in play :)
