[Support request] How to remove Date preview in search results?

Hello, I’m using generate premium for my two websites but I’m somehow disappointed because all my posts in search results always show date of post publication.

For example I published a post yesterday and now on search results is showing

Mar 11, 2019 (meta description)

How do I remove the dates for all my posts that appear in search results? My niche is evergreen and I’m afraid this is going to reduce my click through rate. Some older post show Feb 11, 2017.

How do I remove this?

I know yoast plugin provides an option where you can hide date preview in SERPS but seems it won’t work even when I’ve ticked that option.

You can remove the date from your posts in Customize > Layout > Blog: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-overview/

Removing the date in the Customizer will remove the HTML from the page.

This might be enough for Google to remove it too, but ultimately it’s up to them. It’s also worth checking if you have some sort of JSON+LD activated on the page (Yoast SEO).
