How to remove all Google Fonts
4 replies · Started by Sven on October 21, 2022
Hello,
i have to remove all Google Fonts from my site and i am pretty sure, that i removed all Google Fonts from "Typography" Settings in GP Customizer and also in every used Plugin.
But when i check my site for external Google Fonts, i still get the message, that i use
https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/kfomcnqeu92fr1mu4mxk.woff2
https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/kfolcnqeu92fr1mmeu9fbbc4.woff2
Is there any way to reset all font settings on my site, so that every Google Font will be removed? I have absolut no idea, where i could find the place, where i still use the Roboto Font :-(
The strange thing is, that i deactivated the GP "Typography" Module wight now, and i still have 2 error messages, that i use external Google Fonts. But i am sure, i never used a font Roboto outside from GP. So maybe a reset of all fonts could help?
Thank you and best regards, Sven
Hi Sven,
Can you try adding these PHP snippets to assure GP doesn't load it:

Adding PHP: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-php/#code-snippets
Hello Fernando,
thank you very much. I forgot to mention, that i already tried this and there are still the two external Fonts loaded.

The Error Console shows, where the Fonts are loaded (if i am right)

What i also did not mention: When i switch the Theme to Twenty Twenty Two, the Fonts are not loaded. That was the reason, why i was thinking it could have somethung to do with GP.
Maybe someone elso has an idea to find out, who loads the two fonts. Is there a chance to find it out with the Error Console?
Thank you for any ideas.
Sven
It was the "Contact Form 7" Plugin, which was loading the Google Font Roboto!
Problem solved and it was again not GP Issue. Sorry for bothering you.
I see. Glad you resolved the issue!
