Stephanie
Hello,
How do i remove a sidebar from a page. When i try to change the page from global to content with no sidebar it does not work. In customize, it is set to content/sidebar. Everything else is fine. I love the theme and easy to work with. Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi Stephanie,
So when you try and change the layout on the page itself, you save and the option reverts back to global?
If so, go to the “Pages” area and find your page.
Now click “Quick Edit”, and under “Template” choose “Default Template” and save.
Now give it a try.
Let me know 🙂

I’ve got a real strange one which just popped up.
I’ve got my basket in the right sidebar, and have “Hide if basket is empty” checked, yet it still appears.
In the past the basket will only appear if someone has added a product to the basket. Not sure whats happening.
Cheers

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIs it a plugin you’re using? Have you checked with the author?

Hey Tom,
If you mean a custom sidebar plugin?
Nah none. It’s just not the best look having an empty basket on the home page.
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperYou said there’s an option that says “Hide if basket is empty” correct?
If so, is that being added by a plugin? If that option isn’t working, it might be best to check with the plugin author.

Hey Tom,
The “Hide if basket if empty” option is in within the GP “Customise – Widgets – Right sidebar – Basket widget area.
That checkbox isn’t there by default you think?
Thanks

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperGP doesn’t add anything like that, so it must be added by one of your plugins.

Tom,
Interesting.
Well I use Woocommerce so looks like a woocommerce widget when inspecting elements.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIf the option isn’t working within one of their widgets you might have to mention it to their support crew. They might know what’s going on.

I ended up removing the basket on the right sidebar and adding a “recent product reviews” widget.
I don’t allow reviews so the right area on the home page remains blank which I wanted.Added a Basket link on my nav menu.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperYou can remove the sidebar entirely from the page if you like?

Tom,
Cool. Done that and set the home page to not include sidebars.
The content box is now larger and hides the wallpaper, but all good.
Cheers for the help mate.
