How to Put Header Image on Recent Posts Homepage?
12 replies · Started by Kathleen Jordan on January 8, 2015
Hello!
Is there a way I can put a header image on my homepage that is set to Show Recent Posts? Or does the page have to be static for that?
Thanks!
Hi Kathleen,
Do you mean the Page Header add-on?
As of right now, it has to be a static page, but I'll be releasing an update on Saturday morning which offers a new options page in your Dashboard with all the same options specifically for the Blog!
Let me know if you have any questions :)
Looking forward to this new feature being released!
It's pretty awesome. Will update this thread when it's released (tomorrow at around noon).
Hi Tom, any update on this new feature?
Hi Tony,
Sorry for the delay on this - I ran into an issue with another one of the add-ons which is stopping me from releasing GP Premium.
Hoping to have this fixed within the next couple of days, and then the update will come out.
Thanks for your patience! Sorry it's taken longer than expected.
Just a quick note that the new version is out - you can add a page header to your blog in "Appearance > Blog Page Header".
Hi Tom,
Thank you so much for this feature! I was just looking for it
I have all the add-ons installed and I upgraded everything, but I still don't see "Blog Page Header" under Appearance
Are you using GP Premium or the standalone Page Header add-on?
Can you confirm they're both activated (and enabled)?
If so, can you send me temporary admin login details to support@generatepress.com so I can take a look?
Thanks!
I'm using GP Premium and the Page Header add-on - both enabled
Just sent you an email with the details
Thanks for your great theme and support!
It looks like you're using GP Premium 1.0 - 1.1 is the latest version with the Blog Header option.
The update should be waiting for you in the Plugins area.
Thanks!
Now I can see it
thanks!
You're welcome! :)
