How to place text over image in a column

Hi Tom and team

I have searched through and haven't found a thread on exactly this, so I thought I'd go ahead and ask.

I'm creating a set of three columns, each with an image. Ideally, I'd like to have a H2 or H3 show on top of each image (so the text is readable by Google, rather than having the text embedded within the image).

I have searched through the Header documentation and haven't found a way to achieve this, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?

Hi there,

you can use the GenerateBlocks plugin:

https://generateblocks.com

The Grid Block provides Container settings for each column including adding a Background image, and color overlay if required. Then you place any content you like in those columns.

You can even use the Block Element to insert this content into the Theme, such as after_header so it appears in the same place as a Header Element:
