Sascha
Hi
please, allow me to handle this request here, since I use both GPP & GBP and would like to keep all my support tickets here.
I have created a custom-field of the type “File Upload” and “connected” it with the Image on a CPT-template. Now I’d like to apply a download-function to the image-block, but cannot find out how.
Can you please help me with this?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,

StaffCustomer SupportHi Sascha,
Unfortunately our image block does not provide this functionality so it would require a complete custom function and not something we can provide here.
I would say that your best bet is to look for a plugin that offers downloadable image functionality – not sure if there is one out there but worth a bit of research.
You can also post the request in a WP general forum like Stack to get a little more audience:

Can you explain to me, how to modify the GB-Button-Block in order to downlaod the uploaded file?
Thank you in advance and kind regards,

StaffCustomer Supporthow to modify the GB-Button-Block in order to downlaod the uploaded file?
That’s not possible by default as it’s simply not what GB’s buttons are designed for.
I’d assume any download functionality would require a custom function or plugin.
Please try to Google search something like “Download image wordpress plugin” for some recommendations – this isn’t a theme-related or theme-specific request so I’d assume there are some options out there.

Oh, that’s too bad.
So is there really no solution that would help me to use a GenerateBlock to download an uploaded file?
There are a two “file” types provided by metabox.io:
“File Advanced” & “File Upload“.
It would really help sooo much, if you can help with this, because the site I need this for (https://leben-im-parkviertel.de/event) is a non-profit who have no budget 🙈
Kind regards,
