How to make an exclusion to a display block on the parent element?

A grid column cannot take effect because of a display:block on the parent element. Upon utilizing inspect the "i" info button told me to: "try setting the display:block property on the parent to display:grid." Where/How do I do this?

You'll need a custom code to do as such.
