How to include custom field in Elements Block-Content Layout

After waiting in anticipation of the new template stuff for archives and custom post types, I have created a test template for a custom post type and archive - good so far.
The documentation and videos are not too clear: need both a Layout and a content block set to the same archive or post type.
I want to include some custom fields on the Custom Post single page.
The dynamic content block doesn't appear to provide an option for custom fields, yet some forum posts suggest that it does.
I have used the ACF plugin to create the fields.
How to I include a custom field in a custom post type template?

Hi Len,
Not sure I fully understand your questions.
In block element, you can add custom field value to the block.
I think in this video (start from 3:10), Leo added a value of custom field to the block element - page hero, the same way should work for block element - content template as well.
