How to hide featured images in posts

So, is there a way to hide featured images on blog posts, but have them show up in “recent posts”? I’d like to keep a featured image associated with single posts so that my “recent posts” show those images rather than text-only.

P.S. I can't share my site's details because I don't want to reveal my site to the public.

Hi there,

first make sure you have the Blog module enabled in Appearance > GeneratePress.
Then in Customizer > Layout > Blog --> Featured images, there are 3 tabs: Archives, Posts, Pages. Select the Posts tab and Uncheck Display Featured Image

More info here:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adjusting-the-featured-images/

Thats a global change to remove them from all single posts. If need be there are options to selectively disable them on a post by post basis if you need ( let me know ).

And if you need to share any private details with us, as its your topic you can access the Private Information field in your replies, and only GP support can see its content.

Hi David,
I have unchecked display featured image option on all three tabs, but somehow images still appear in the posts.

Ah ok - so your site is using a Block Element for the Post Hero. Look for a Block Element in Appearance > Elements, probably titled Post hero or something like that, edit that and delete the Dynamic Image block that is set to display the Featured image.

Thanks a lot!
Is there any way to change the font of my breadcrumb link?

In that Element there is a Headline block, that contains the Rank Math shortcode.
Select that, and in the sidebar expand the typography settings and change it to what you need.

Thank you very much!

You're welcome

Hi David,
I can't change the font on the breadcrumbs. I go to typography to set the font to be Montserrat but when I'm going to preview it's the Consolas Regular. Can you help me?

Where can i see the issue ?

I need to see the front end of the website

I've pasted the link in the private area... Can you see it?

David is requesting you to provide a live link to the page where the issue can be inspected.

Sounds like this new issue is unrelated to hiding the featured images?

If so please start a new topic.

Thanks!

Okay
