how to hide featured image

I looked at the already opened tickets but in vain.
I want to hide the featured image from top of the page.
How to achieve that?
For example in this article https://moneymattr.com/benefits-of-credit-card/
I dont want the image but want to add one, so that while sharing it on social media, it fetches the image and show it there.
Hi there,
If you want to remove them from all Posts you can do this in the Customizer > Layout > Blog > Featured Images > Posts
Or you can disable them on a page by page basis using either of these options:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
It works.
Glad you got it working.
Hello David,
I have the same question, hide the featured image on the news page.
At all places (archive, post and pages)I disabled the featured image, but it is still on the page. I tried additional css, but doesn't work yet. For example: https://www.dementievriendelijknoordwijk.nl/lezing-hugo-borst-op-wereld-alzheimer-dag/
Any tips?
Laura
Hi there,
can you check in the GP Hooks and look for anything that looks like it is outputting a container called 'custom-hero'.
Yes!
Thank you again. From now on I look first at the elements...
Laura
Glad to be of help
I'd like to remove a featured image from events posts.
Unfortuantely when I look in the layout metabox https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/
On my site, I can't hide it. The calendar plugin I'm using appears to use the field for something else that I do need. Is there any reason why I wouldn't see the featured image as something I could hide on a page by page basis?
Thanks!
Hi there,
Is the "Disable Elements" module activated in "Appearance > GeneratePress"?
