How to hide blog post title?
15 replies · Started by Miles on November 7, 2021
Hi,
There's a strong chance I'm mistaken but since the lasted update I've lost the ability to hide my blog title. There used to be a little dialog box in the post settings where I could hide featured image, blog title, etc but it seems to have completely disappeared any ideas?
Cheers
Hi there,
you should see it in the editor sidebar in the Disable Elements Metabox.
First check to make sure it hasn't moved to the very bottom of the main editor screen.
If its not there either then check for plugin conflicts by temporarily disabling all other plugins aside from GP Premium
Hi David,
Unfortunately, that had no effect.
Cheers,
Miles

Is the Layout panel activated?

Hey Leo,
Yes it is.
Thanks,
Miles
That's strange.
Can you disable all custom functions and plugins except GP premium and provide the dashboard access for us to take a look?
And make sure you have the admin capability.
Thanks.
Hey Leo,
Apologies, I'm not clear on what you want me to do?
Miles
I would like to take a look from the backend as I can't see the post editor screen from the front end.
Therefore can you provide the WP dashboard access for us using the private info field?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
And please make sure all custom functions and plugins are disabled except GP premium so we can eliminate any odd conflicts.
Thanks!
Ok understood thanks
I only see the username and password but missing the log in URL.
Please also make sure that I have the Admin role capability and not just the editor role.
Thanks.
Ahh yes that might help!
I just checked the post editor and do see the Disable Elements metabox:
https://www.screencast.com/t/KH36NhFwI
However, your current post title is added manually with Kadence block so GP's Disable Elements option won't work:

You will need to manually remove them.
Let me know if this helps :)
Hey Leo,
This is really bizarre! I don't see it! I've tried on two different browsers and it really doesn't show for me. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oejzMXvVu8EDw0_ffQRM_7G2Ach628pT/view?usp=sharing
Can you try logging in as the account you've created for me?
I'm assuming this is a user role capability issue:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/roles-and-capabilities/
Make sure you have the admin capability.
Hi Leo,
Yes this was the issue. Thanks for your help and sorry to waste your time!
Thanks,
Miles
