How to great a two column layout like this?

Hi,
I want to create a 2 column layout with text on one side and an image on the other.
The image should fill the left panel 100% width and height.
The container should span the screen.
I've got the block editor and GenerateBlocks but can't figure it out?

One question though
I get a slight gap under the image, even though I've set the padding to 0
