How to get rid of Home heading betw nav menu and hero image?

How do I hide the word Home that appears between the navigation menu and the hero image area? Can that be done without CSS? According to the inspector, it's <h1 class="entry-title" itemprop="headline">Home</h1> if that helps. Thank you.
You can use the Disable Elements metabox when editing the page.
There's an option in there to disable the content title.
