How to get rid of hashtags appended on to my URLs when people click "Read More"?

On my blog, which uses a GeneratePress Premium site library, there are "read more" buttons that people click on when they want to read a post. When using these buttons, the URL is appended with a hashtag followed by a number. For example, http://www.example.com becomes http://www.example.com/#more-693.
I'd like to know whether these are regarded as separate URLs from Google's perspective? It's imperative that my SEO isn't negatively affected because of these additions to the post's actual URL. I don't want search engines to think a single post is duplicated on my website. If this would affect SEO, can someone guide me in how to remove these additions to the URLs when people click "Read More"? Thanks.
