I cannot figure this out – I have reviewed 5 tutorials and still cannot understand what I need to do. Do I need to check every post? Or do I really need to do this? or can I just ignore the warnings?

Yeah, any of the SEO plugins should help. You ideally want to set some Canonical URLs for the content you want the search engines to show to eliminate it seeing duplicate content.

Some reading on the matter here:

Thank you David – I will try to learn about this via the link you sent. It seems very complicated to me. I don’t understand how to find the pages that google listed. They all relate to tag/xxxx. Is there an easy way to spot the problem?

Aah ok, so that sounds like the Tag archive pages.
In that case, if you have Yoast installed – see here:

    https://yoast.com/help/how-do-i-noindex-urls/#group

you should have an option of Show Tags in Search Results? set that to No.
