How to extend the background colour behind a headline on home page hero

Hi there,

I'm attempting to make the text more readable on my home page header, and I've run into a slight snag. The background colour that can be placed behind the header seems like a great fix, but it doesn't extend the full width across the container. Is there a simple solution that can be done to make this work?

The website is https://Learnfilm.photography

Thanks so much for all of your help. Generate Press with the premium features is by far the best theme that I've used, and your technical support is absolutely incredible.

Hi there,

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to achieve.

To clarify: Are you trying to apply some sort of background cover overlay to make the background image a bit darker?

Does the overlay color have to wrap the whole background image or would it be solely for the heading text?

Let us know.

It's this area here behind the text that I'd like to extend to the edges. It may not have been showing — I just cleared the site cache.

Hi there,

so you want to increase the background color behind the text - if so select the Container Block and change the Inner Container Width to Full Width.

That worked! Thanks so much — sorry to bother you with such a simple task. This is my first site on Gutenberg, and it's quite a learning curve!

No apologies necessary - happy to be of help!
