How to Edit Homepage with Elementor

Hi Tom

Using localhost xampp and generate press to learn and test website. I need help regarding this: for example, website name is testsite.com, I am able to use elementor to edit all other pages and posts, but the main or home page testsite.com cannot be edited by elementor, I searched and tried looking for solutions, but cannot find any.

Please help. regards.

Hi there is the home page set to Your latest posts? If so, you cannot edit this with Elementor, you can set it to a static page and then you can.

thanks David it works.

Static page setting, Homepage set to Home (now can edit with Elementor) and posts page set to Blog (all posts that are published are now shown on Blog page). I noticed now that the Blog page with posts cannot be edited with Elementor. Just needed to know thats how wordpress static page works and there is no way of changing that?

Glad to hear you got it sorted.
Yes, archives such as blog, categories and shop pages are not directly editable as they are being dynamically displayed.
