Hi Douglas,
Thank you for adding the link to your site.
To modify your Front page’s Page Hero image, kindly go to Appearance > Elements and then select “My Page Hero - home page”
See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruORopr
Then, open the List view, select the Container Block, and open its Backgrounds Block settings. Click on Browse.
See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4guKqrNL
Side note: There’s a small image in your front page below the Page Hero. To remove this, toggle on the “Disable featured imaged”: https://share.getcloudapp.com/ApuJbXgo
Hope this clarifies. :)
hi F, you are my hero image! Thx, i had forgotten how to access that image. But related issue is that the image is too big for the container. What is the perfect size for the hero image in this space? I can see that I will have to resize it.
thx
Hi Doug,
When you say the image is too big, do you mean it's not showing the entire image?
If so, select the container block, increase its top/bottom padding.
If you don't want it to go full width to the edges of the screen but show the entire image, you can set the background image size to contain instead of cover:

Hi y
no, i mean like the lady image doesn[t fit, part of her hands get cut off, and the text is cut off as well. the site address is included below in private if you'd like to take a look to see what i mean.
Yes, that' what I meant.
Have you tried either of the solutions?
hi Ying; ok i made the spacing 1000 and the lady fits. But i see it 's all too big when it fits ; what i really woukld like is to make the lady and text all fit on the upper half of the page, so that a visitor doesn't have to scroll down to see the rest of the image. That is part of my problem now. What can i do about that, Y?
thx for your help by the way. it helped. almost there, i think.
Doug
If you want to show the full image, but don't want user to scroll, then you'll need to adjust the image itself, change its aspect ratio, make it shorter.
ok, makes sense. what is a good size that would just fit the upper half of the screen? i have tried like 2500 x 1500, 1600 x 800 ... both looked the same size when applied.
Hi Douglas,
According to this article, the best aspect-ratio for full screen images is 2400x1600px: https://flothemes.com/flothemes-image-sizes/#:~:text=your%20average%20user.-,Full%20Width%20Images,-2400x1600px%2C%20jpeg%2C%20saved
With that said, you can probably try something like 2400x800px. Hope this clarifies. :)
