Hello,

I just created a Footer in the Elements section. Type is Block | Hook.

Currently the footer on my site is I believe created as a widget and I edited this in the WordPress customiser. How can I remove this current footer and display the block footer I created in Elements?

TIA!

Hi there,

Option 1:

Set the Block Element Hook to before_footer
And in Customizer > Layout > Footer - set the Footer Widgets to 0

Option 2:

Set the Block Element > Element type to Footer.
This will replace the footer bar ie. where the Copyright is displayed.
Then set your footer widgets to 0

Great, that worked, thanks.

Another question, I set the background color of my footer to a light blue color, however, on mobile devices the color is not appearing. I cleared the cache but the background is just appearing a white color.

Go to Dashboard > GenerateBlocks > Settings and click the Regenerate CSS button

Hi David,

I tried this several times but the color change still not working. Also, I set my social icons to align center but on mobile it is displaying to the very left of the page. Could you please advise how to fix this issue too.

Hi Jonny,

I checked on my phone, the site footer background color is blue not white. So try to clear the cache on your mobile device.

And your social icons are aligned in center on mobile:

It's working now, thanks for all the support!

No problem :)
