How can I display something like this in Generatepress? It’s called subtitle in themes like Newspaper and is inbuilt.

Any chance I can do it without a plugin? example URL will be https://collider.com/the-batman-trailer-riddler-plan-new-footage/. You would find that the subtitle doesn’t have a heading tag but a simple p or paragraph tag.

    Hi there,

You can use the default custom field of WordPress Block Editor –
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/custom-fields/

You can activate it this way – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0u7rGO8

But ACF is better as it has more features. (if you’re worried about performance, ACF doesn’t have that much impact.)

I don’t know but WordPress doesn’t seem to be liking me this morning. It’s not letting me scroll to preferences. Any clue what I am doing wrong?

You can try zooming out the site so you don’t have to scroll.

That is strange though as I’m not encountering the issue. (I hover the mouse pointer on the panel and use mouse wheel to scroll. You can try it out.)

My stupid macbook maybe. Somehow I clicked it without even seeing it. Added it the same way as shown in the video but that doesn’t appear anywhere in an existing post. Do I need to put a filter etc for it to show up?

I guess it’s no point as I think I will need a plugin to display it anyways according to the suggestion above. Sorry I didn’t see the second link with the recording.

Ah that may be it. iOS hides the browser by default.

You can stop it from doing by trying this – https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250439746

Found a solution for this one from David’s earlier suggestions to someone else. I will try them out. Closing this thread for now.
