How to disable pagination

My homepage is set to a static page.
However, that same page has been duplicated more than 50 times and the exact same page has been indexed tens of times.
If you open the link I have added no matter how many times you change the number the same page appears.
How do I stop this from happening?
I don't want to hide the prev and next with CSS but I want it to stop creating additional pages for the same page.

Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to add an update. I added a 301 redirect which solved the problem but I would like to understand what I did wrong to cause this. I noticed it happens on all my sites with Generatepress so I assume it is theme related. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Hi Nicole,

This shouldn't be a theme related issue. GP has no code that should cause this.

Have you also tried rebuilding permalinks? This can be done in Settings > Permalinks. You'll just need to hit save.

I assumed it was related to the theme's pagination.
I'll try your solution. Thanks.

You're welcome Nicole! WordPress controls permalinks and paginations by default.
