Hello, I’m creating a website about swing trading and I’d like the training course section of my website to be a members only thing.

I don’t have the first clue how to go about this so any information would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Kyle

    Hi Kyle,

You would need a plugin for that.

Restrict Content Pro by Pippin ia s good one: https://restrictcontentpro.com/

Let me know if this answers your question.

Is there a free alternative I can use just for now as my site is not fully operational yet I just want to test the water?

Kyle, take a look at “Simple Membership” https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-membership/
I’ve only used it extensively on one site, but it’s worked well for my purposes.
Some people were not happy with the support, but I’ve never needed it, so can’t comment on that.

You’re welcome! Hope it works for you. Also look at the add-ons available on wordpress.org. I found this one very useful: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-membership-after-login-redirection/
