how to clone page template to be used in addition to the original? in this instance i want to use the homepage as a template for other pages in addition to the homepage.

Hi there,

install the Duplicate Posts plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-post/

Then you can make a new Draft of any existing post/page.

if I remove the plugin afterwards will the pages remain?

Could i not just create a new page and copy and past the HTML in the HTML viewer?

Yes, the plugin can be removed. It will not remove any content you have duplicated.

Yes, you can just copy and paste content if you want. The benefit of the duplicate plugin is it will also copy any meta box settings such as the Layout / Disable Elements.

NOTE: That plugin only runs on the Backend – it won’t affect your sites performance at all
