[Support request] How to change canoncial link for individual post

People keep telling me there should be an “advanced” dropdown on my post sidebar to do this. I don’t see it.

I’m not sure what you are referring to at all.

Are you referring to something related to permalinks? If so that’s completely handled by WP core:
