[Resolved] How to add post excerpt to block element?

Hi folks,

I have an element at the top of my posts that displays the post title, date and taxonomies. However, I would like to add the post excerpt to that header section too. As a kind of TL;DR for the post.

I’ve tried adding a block element and setting the dynamic text type to “post meta” and setting the meta field name to “the_excerpt” but that hasn’t worked. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t know what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

GPP adds two Dynamic Blocks in the Block Element:

You want the GP Dynamic Content Block, which has options to display the Excerpt, set the excerpt length and whether to display the Themes read more.
