Hi there,

I am using the Niche Template and I'd like to add a propertie for brands to the side menu which currently only shows the product categories.

Here is a preview of what I want to achieve: https://ibb.co/C9kRcXF

As far as I understand the product categories were added through the elements / hook feature. Is there a way how I could add product brands to this side menu as well?

Thanks for you help!

Okay just relized it is an Off Canvas menu and I have succesfully added the filter by attribute filter inside the widget area / off canvas but now it is only showing inside the mysite.com/shop area, how do I make it appear globally like the categories now?

Hi Leo,

I have added the link below to the site.

In addition, I have added Marken (Brands) to the Off Canvas menu but they only show up when you go to the shop.

Best regards

Can you clear and disable WP Rocket and Autopimize first?

Let me know :)

Hey Leo,

I just cleared the cache and disabled WP Rocket and Autopimize.

Hi there,

are you using a Plugin for the Brands widget ? If so you may want to check with the plugin author, as it looks like that widget only functions on Product Archives. Let me know

Hi David,

I am not using a plugin for the brands.

How comes the categories show up globally but not the product attributes?

After installing your template (niche) there was another attirubute added to the off canvas menu which was also only showing at the /shop area. It was the filter by price attribute. I have removed this attribute since I dont need it.

Should I create an element / hook for the brands and add it as a widget to the off canvas? If that's even possible.

Unlike Categories and Tags that have their own archives and there widget can be displayed as a list in any sidebar, Brands ( and other Product properties ) are stored as Attributes.
Attributes do not have their own archives, and can only be used to filter the default product archive using a Dynamic Widget. Which is why you won't see them on other pages.

I believe you may need a separate plugin for greater control. Woo sells there own plugin for that, but there are others available:
