How to add DIFFERENT separate header (background) images for desktop and mobile?
4 replies · Started by Linas on March 19, 2023
Guys, I hope for your help on this one so much...
Simple problem:
I need to have two different images - one (horizontal) for desktop and one (vertical) for mobile; I thought, that changing the device view on the sidebar of "Edit Page" and changing the background image for mobile will leave the desktop image as it was, but alas...
And no, simply "cutting" or "cropping" or "scaling" the image used for desktop, so that it "fits" the mobile is not an option - tried, that, not possible, not pro.
I've read in other threads that it should be possible to do using some "Advanced Backgrounds" but I found zero results in support documentation on that one..
Hope someone of you can help me solve this riddle... Wait FWD and thanks in advance.
Bless,
Lee
P.S. I am using GP Pro version. Of course.
P.P.S. The page that I am building is here: https://skywatchcabin.com
UPDATE:
Ok, so I read about Advanced Backgrounds here: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/advanced-backgrounds
But it DID NOT help as the provided description and screenshots do not match with what I see on my "Edit Page" well, page.
Meaning, there is NEITHER "Advanced" section in the "Backgrounds" segment under "Container", NOR a wrench symbol in the "Advanced" segment (which is separate for "Container" and not "Backgrounds").
What I see is this (before deleting background image that I had):

And this (after deleting background image):

Hope this helps clarify things..
Fingers crossed; praying for your help. ::)

Lee
Hi Lee,
The Advanced Backgrounds options require GenerateBlocks pro (separated from GP Premium) as indicated at the top of the article here:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/advanced-backgrounds/
Can you make sure it's installed and activated first?
Let me know :)
Done. Bought, activated, works like charm. At least so far::) Thanks.
Best,
Lee
Thanks for supporting our products :)
