What is the best or correct way to add a large panoramic image to the home page of my site? I’m finding discussions about page hero’s, header widgets, header elements, background images, etc…so I’m trying to figure out what the proper way is to add a large panoramic image to my home page. I’d like the image to be at the top of the home page and then place the menu bar at the very top, above that image, with the site logo (standard text logo) still in the navigation menu bar like it is now. Or if there’s a better recommended way to do this, I’d like to do whatever makes the most sense to get a decent looking homepage. But basically, I just want a nice and simple looking home page with a large panoramic image displayed.

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-hero-examples/ – this page is dead.

Can someone recommend the correct way to achieve this?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jeff,

You can use a Page Hero – Block Element for this.

Here is an article for reference with regards to this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/

In this article, you’ll also find sample videos showing how to create a couple of different Page Heroes.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you’ll need further assistance! )
