How is the `Categories` menu edited if not by editing categories?

Hello,
I've updated categories from my wordpress dashboard from posts>categories, which have updated menu items in the main navigation, but not the section titled "categories" on the homepage.
The sections I'm referring to are defaulted here: https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0u9eZ68
However, after updating the categories on my site, they are changed in the main navigation, but not the "Categories" sections: https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8ulOkmo
How are they meant to be updated and maintained?

That section does not update automatically unfortunately.
You would need to update that section manually:
