How Do I Turn off the Top Bar throughout WooCommerce?
6 replies · Started by Allen on October 20, 2022
I thought if I went through all of the Woocommerce pages (Shop, Cart, Checkout, My Account) and checked Disable Elements > Top Bar on each, that would turn off the Top Bar across Woo. But no such luck.
Any other ideas to turn off the Top Bar across all Woo-related functions pages?
Here's the site I'm fighting on this:

Thanks!
Actually, the checkmark does disable the Top Bar on some of the Woo pages.
The bar is disabled on:
https://golfwindmilllakes.com/cart/
https://golfwindmilllakes.com/my-account/
...but it still appears on:
https://golfwindmilllakes.com/shop/

That's pretty crazy.
Hi Allen,
Can you try creating a Layout Element, and disable the Top Bar through there? Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/#disable-element
So to get my head around your answer, do I create a new layout with the top bar in place and enable it on specific pages (then disable it elsewhere sitewide, if so how)?
Or do I create a layout without a top bar then disable that layout where I want the top bar to appear as the sitewide option?
(Or better yet, maybe GP could just create a disable elements function in Customize > Woocommerce!)
Hi there,
you can leave the Top Bar as it is.
Then in Appearance > Elements --> Add New ---> Layout.
In the Layout Element -> Disable Elements Tab select: Top Bar.
Then in the Display Rules tab, select the Locations you want to Remove that element.
Yes, that worked.
Following the above then selecting the location of Products > All and Product Archive disabled the top bar in the remaining Woo locations.
Thanks!
Glad to hear that !!
