Hi Leo I’ve already changed the number of widgets in customise-layout-footer. to 0.
but they are still showing?

First make sure this is not set to 2: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/#change-the-number-of-footer-widgets-on-individual-pages-posts

Then try clearing/disabling your caching plugin.
