I am using GeneratePress with WP Show Posts for a magazine layout, but I cannot get images in columns to align. It also happens on taxonomy and archive pages — instead of showing images using one pre-sent dimension, it uses the original dimensions of the image. The result is unneat and looks unprofessional.

My previous theme (MH Magazine) was pretty neat in displaying images; images in widgets used one dimension irrespective of their size. All taxonomy pages also used images of the same size, irrespective of the original dimensions.

How can I get this in GeneratePress???

    Hi there,

Can you link us to the page in question to inspect and have an idea on how to go about this?

You can use the private information text field to provide the details. Let us know.

Note: If you can add mockup images of how you want it to be laid out, that’s be very helpful in solving the issue. Thank you.

I’ve provided the links in the private information field. As you can see, the previous theme did a far much better job handling the issue. Much, much better.

    Hi there,

The best way to do this is to tell WordPress to create the image sizes you need: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-image-sizes/

Then, in WPSP, you’ll want to update to the latest development version: https://wpshowposts.com/wp-show-posts-1-2-0/

Then you can define the image size inside the options for the list.

Thanks for this. It has largely solved my problem, at least for the columns; will deal with archive pages on my own.
