How do I make a "sign up for newsletter" feature?

I want to add a box in my footer where people can enter their email address to sign up for my newsletter. Is there a way to do that in the GPP theme with a widget or something? Or, do I need a special plugin? Also, do you have a form for the contact page, or is that a plugin also? Thanks.

Both are plugin territory.
GP doesn't have any built in contact form.
There should be lots of choices out there though.

We are using MailChimp on this site.
There are also Contact Form 7 and Ninja Forms that might be worth checking out :)
