Unfortunately there isn't a step by step guide on how to build your website as every user wants to achieve different layouts.

Are you able to show an example of what you'd like to achieve so I can point you in the right direction?

Or any templates in our site library you are interested in?

Yes... a simple guide on how to set up your theme would be very helpful. For example, what are the first steps you'd recommend taking once you've installed GP.

It's sort of a broad question though so a bit difficult for us to answer.

I'd say that the first step of using any themes (not just GP) is to decide what kind of website you want to achieve.
