Do I just add some text and wrap it in link? I tried and I had no good results.

Here is an example of your theme showcasing what I desire: http://demo.generatepress.com/category/post-format-link/

The link post format takes the first link of the post and makes the title of the post link to it.

So if you choose the post format it should just do it for you.

    OOOo right on.

I was using a small featured image and for some reason it wasn’t linking. Any idea how to make the featured image link as well?

Other than that, all is working…very well…

It should just look for the first <a> element in the content and get the URL of it – shouldn’t matter what the <a> is wrapped around (text, image etc..).

Yea it totally works with content placed in the WYSIWYG editor…however, if there is a chosen “Featured Image” than that image doesn’t link.
