How do I add links in the footer?

I've got the top navigation all sorted out, but can't seem to either:
1. Add a menu to the footer section, or
2. Simply add some links in the footer section
Any help appreciated.
Hi there,
create a new Menu in Appearance > Menus or Customizer > Menus, add the links you require, and save the menu without adding to a Location.
Then Customizer > Widgets - and select the Footer Widget # or Footer Bar depending on where you want it displayed. Once selected, add a Navigation Menu Widget, and in the drop down provided select the Menu you have created.
Repeat the process for each menu you want to display.
