[Resolved] How do I add author description to single posts? (Using Scribe theme)

I’m using Scribe theme/template/layout, with some changes. I’ve got my Gravatar attached to my WP account – I know it’s working because it’s displaying my author image from Gravatar on my single posts.

Unfortunately, though, the short author bio/description isn’t displaying under the author name in single posts. In the single post hero element, I wrote “user meta” and made this a dynamic text. On the dynamic options I set ‘dynamic text’ to “author meta”, I left ‘meta field name’ and ‘before text’ and ‘dynamic link text’ blank.

I assumed this would automatically replace the text with my author bio. (I have something written for both my Gravatar bio and my WP user/author bio, neither of which shows up.)

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jacob,

You need to place a meta field value.

Try setting it to description or user_description.
