How do I add a GIF in my blog?

I want to add a GIF in my blogpost.
I grabbed the embed code via Giphy, but it says it's not able to load it.
Hi there,
you will need to upload a GIF file to your Media Library.
Make sure when you add the Image it to a page or post that you select the Full image size, otherwise the GIF will show as a static image.
