How can secondary navigation depend on main menu item ?

I am intriged by docs.generatepress.com. The secondary navigation menus in the left sidebar depend on the choice in het main menu. It appears that there are 4 secondary navigation menus: General, Customization, Pro Modules, Developers: all in the left sidebar.

How can I achieve secondary menu selection ? I am using GPP 2.0.2. I could not find a tutorial on this issue.
