[Resolved] How can I show entire excerpt with a custom excerpt and dynamic content block

Hello,
For a specific post category (regular post type) I am trying to use a dynamic content block to show the excerpt in an element to put it before the main content.

However, though I adjust the count in the dynamic content block, the excerpt gets cut off. I’ve tried adjusting the count for the excerpt in the customizer and that did nothing.

Is there any way to show an entire custom excerpt using the dynamic content block? Or another way that you can recommend for me to do this in an element?

Hi Cheryl,

If you are using the custom excerpt, the word count should not work anyways, so it should show the full content of the custom excerpt.

Can you show me your site?

And can you make sure you are not using any custom functions that may interfere with the excerpt?

Well, this is strange. Now that I’ve come back to it, the situation seems to have corrected itself. Hmmm. I had cleared the cache many times but perhaps this was a caching/optimization issue. The entire excerpt is now showing.
