How can I know which license key is for which site?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to sort out an ugly mess on three of my GP sites, working my way through all the steps I can, before submitting a support request about that issue.

Right now I'm stuck on updating GP Premium on the first site. I'm at version 1.2.63, and I see that I need to be at 2.2.1. So far, so good.

But I have GP Premium on all three sites, so there are three options on my GP Downloads page. Is there somewhere in Wordpress I can look to see which license key I'm using on each site, so I install the correct updates in the correct places?

I'm afraid that if I just randomly pick one I might brick my site, so I'm stuck.

Thank you for any advice,
Linda

Thank you for the quick reply! That looks like it should have given me the answer! Now 'm confused in a new way.

The older three are expired, but one of those was activated on 4 sites (One of my production sites, and it looks like staging sites...?

The "GP Premium — Lifetime" I bought two years ago this month shows no activations (0/500). Should I just use that key for everything now? ("Everything" being three sites, plus their staging sites - I don't have hundreds of sites.)

Hi Linda,

Yes, a license should be good for up to 500 websites. If you have a Lifetime License and only have 3 sites, this one license should be good for all.

After you've added the Licence, you can update to the latest version of GP Premium.

Updating GP Premium shouldn't break your site, though if you haven't updated WordPress itself on your site, WordPress update 6.1 seems to have caused multiple issues on various WordPress Blocks. Example: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/button-design-after-wp-6-1-upgrade/#post-2404676

In any case, it is always a good idea to take a backup of a site before doing major changes like updating.

Thank you! My sites auto-update WP, so that could be the problem. (And they are backed up daily, too.) Anything using Blocks is trashed on the admin side - totally unusable - all the body text and headings. I'll check out the post you shared. Interesting.

Thank you for your help, Leo and Fernando. Much appreciated.

You're welcome, Linda!
