Hi, I first learned about the Generate Press theme via a search for forum software many years ago. I really loved the look of the GP forum. Now that I have finally purchased a GP license, I would like to install a bbPress forum on my site.

I am completely new to bbPress, but not to WP. I have looked at bbPress themes, and all of them change my main site look. Someone recommended this plugin which lets you use multiple themes. I have never used such a product, didn’t even realise it was possible: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-multiple-themes/

So, I am asking how I can make a bbPress forum look a bit like the GP forum? Does anyone know a plugin on that will let me customise the look of bbPress? For example what GP and Elementor do for WP.

I would be very grateful. Thank you.

BTW, I have read a few of the old threads on this topic, but unless I missed it, I couldn’t see a solution. Thank you.

    Hi there,

It would require a considerable amount of custom coding to replicate our forum.

This might be a good starting point:

Hi Leo, I don’t need to replicate it, I just want to be able to customise the appearance. Any suggestions?

You guys have a great design, so complements to the designer. However, why is the forun so slow, especially when searching. I have tried multiple computers in different locations.

You will need to be very proficient in PHP and CSS to modify the appearance. Or you can consider hiring a developer to help using a service like this:

The forum search is definitely a bit slow as there are currently 2774 pages in this forum with a lot of content – we are just using WordPress default search so it definitely isn’t the best.

A lot of times I would recommend using Google search in the format below:
