Hi,
I'd love to create a custom menu and put it on my footer, how can I do that?
Hi there,
create a new Menu in Appearance > Menus.
Then you can add it using a Navigation Menu widget to Customizer > Widgets --> Footer Widget 1 or Footer Bar.
Thanks a lot, it worked. However, I don't like how the menu is showing on my footer. It's showing vertically. Is there a way I can set it to be showing in a horizontal manner?
Are you referring to a footer menu seen on this page here?
https://gpsites.co/grill/
If so it's using the footer bar widget area described here:

Hi Leo,
Yes, I'm talking of the type of footer shown here https://gpsites.co/grill/.
Unfortunately, I've checked the footer settings in the "Customize" area and I can't find any way to make mine look like that.
The theme using is JAVA.
Have you tried following the instructions under the title Adding a footer menu?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-bar-widget-area/#adding-a-footer-menu
Yes I did, and it seems you don't understand what I want. Adding the footer menu isn't my problem as I've already done that.
The problem is that I don’t like how the menu is showing on my footer. It’s showing vertically and i want it to be showing in a horizontal manner as shown on this site https://gpsites.co/grill/
Please, kindly check my site's footer to see how it looks.
You are currently adding the menu to the footer widget area.
If you want the menu exactly like Grill, then try the footer bar widget area.
Ok, that worked. Thanks a lot.
No problem :)
