How can I convert a re-usable block to a regular block?
3 replies · Started by Miklos on January 3, 2022
on previous sites I've built with GP I was able to create a re-usable block (like a template) that I could then convert to a "Regular block" on an individual basis, and then edit the regular block as needed.
I was basically using re-usable blocks as a template block and converting it to a regular block to make individual edits.
However, I'm not seeing the option to convert to a regular block anymore. Is there a different element I should be using, or am I just missing something?
Thanks
Hi Miklos,
Reusable block is a WP core feature, GP has no control over its behavior Unfortuanly.
If you switch to twenty series theme, is the issue fixed?
Let me know :)
I actually found the issue. Turns out it was user error lol.
The "Convert to regular block" has turned into a really sneaky, easily missed button now. It used to be in the dropdown menu, easily visible, but now the only button to convert it to a regular block is an icon that looks like the "Duplicate" icon.
All is well.
Ah I see :)
Glad to hear that!
